Belgian Digital PR Opportunity Engine
Question
Can a Belgium-specific FR/NL monitoring and scoring engine detect genuinely useful Digital PR opportunities from local news and data sources, with enough precision to support client recommendations?
Findings
START HERE — 1) Choose 1 sector with enough Belgian news activity. 2) Build a source list of roughly 50–100 BE-FR/BE-NL news, data and institutional sources. 3) Ingest and deduplicate items. 4) Classify by topic, language, geography and relevance to the chosen sector. 5) Generate an opportunity score and suggested PR angle for each candidate. 6) Manually review about 100 surfaced opportunities and mark would-pitch / maybe / reject with rejection reason. 7) Analyse false positives and tune scoring before expanding scope.
SUCCESS THRESHOLD — Deepen if at least 10 of 100 surfaced opportunities are strong enough that you would genuinely propose them to a client, with an acceptable false-positive rate and useful FR/NL coverage.
Keep v1 intentionally small: no journalist database, no outreach automation, no complex UI, no multi-sector expansion until opportunity quality is proven.

Next Move
If the quality threshold is met, add a second sector and begin storing campaign/coverage outcomes so the engine can feed Earned Media → AI Visibility analysis.
